Named the number one hotel in Puerto Rico by Trip Advisor and Fodor’s, the Royal Isabela features luxurious accommodations, a five star restaurant and one of the world’s greatest golf courses, all perched on a stunning piece of property overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
To preserve the natural beauty of the location, the project had a Dark Sky Initiative, meaning there could be no exterior lights shining into the sky. We lit the roads, footpaths and parking lots with downward facing bollards and path lights, which offer ample illumination with no spill.
We also lit the main lodge, twelve guest cottages, the golf shop, the gate house, the spa, the exterior bar and terraces, the pool and a number of private residences on the property, all in a style that blends an old world Spanish character with a clean and contemporary aesthetic.
